the thing is, i used to be pro-porn until i learned more about it and couldn’t justify that standpoint anymore. i’ve still got shit to unlearn.

also here’s some guidelines if you watch porn but want to stop:

• use a porn filter
• remember that it actually biologically alters your brain, and what you are doing when you stop, is pretty much kicking an addiction
• remember that you can stop, that it’s not necessary, and that your brain has learned to like it but that you can unlearn this and come out on the other side porn-free and with a greater sense of what your sexuality actually is like without those influences, and that you will also find it pretty gross and disturbing when you DO come out on the other side
• remember that by watching porn you are supporting misogyny, male supremacy and deep rooted sexism that harms everyone involved, especially females. and yeah, you should feel guilty. i did too. that’s just another reason to stop.
